As well as being the managing director of I.S. Dam Lining Ltd, Adrian Mannering is also the principal of Irrigation Services Ltd – which includes 100 acres of orchards on the Heretaunga Plains – established in 1995 in Hawke’s Bay. His ability to find innovative and effective solutions has been the primary reason for the success of the business.
Geoff King has been promoted within the IS Group to South Island Manager. Geoff will continue to be based out of the Cromwell office.
With previous experience in the primary industry in Alexandra, and as a departmental manager at Central Otago District Council and Fulton Hogan, Geoff brings considerable experience managing civil and commercial projects. He has vast experience liaising with engineers, contractors, private and corporate clients.
Growing up in the deep south Geoff moved to Dunedin in the early nineties to train in Amenity Horticulture and Turf management. He has spent the last 30 years since completing his training, working throughout Southland and Otago and surrounds involved in many different capital and maintenance projects.
Andrew has worked in every aspect of the geomembrane installation in most continents of the world over a 12 year period. He has lined landfills and mines in the UK, Europe and Central Asia, and he brings with him an immense amount of experience.
He has undergone extensive theoretical and practical training in extrusion and wedge welding. His training included the principles of tacking, grinding, spark testing and vacuum testing. and h holds a T.W.I. Welding Certificate.
Brook Newson, who majored in marketing at Massey University leads the sales team. Brook has undertaken a number of marketing roles in the agribusiness field, and is keen to put his skills into action in the field for I.S. Dam Lining. His induction into the business has included time in the field to ensure he is familiar with the product he sells
Iain moved to New Zealand to join the I.S. Dam Lining team. Originally from Aberdeen, Scotland, Iain has a vast amount of international experience as a site manager and geomembrane specialist lining large scale commercial covered lagoons in Great Britain, Europe and North America. TWI trained his particular area of expertise is floating covers.
Engineering requirements are covered by John Jones who joined the company in 2002. John has 25 years experience in irrigation engineering and well drilling. He is an experienced arc and mig welder. His wealth of engineering, suction and headworks design experience is an asset to the company.
Sarah fulfills a vital communication role between the design team and the installation team in the field. She manages the logistics of the dam lining materials, from pricing and ordering, to delivery to site. Coming from a dairy farming background in the Wairarapa, she completed her university training, and went on to work in agribusiness in New Zealand and Australia.
